white nephrite oval bangle

Affectionately known in the trade as "mutton fat" jade which paints a picture of the creamy white or off-white translucent stone with a shiny, greasy surface. This D-shaped oval bangle has a pale green color. 

Jade is the general name for two different gemstones: nephrite jade and jadeite jade. Both are very tough stones that are suitable for carving but nephrite is slightly tougher (resistant to breaks) and denser than jadeite. High quality nephrite jade can be even more expensive than jadeite jade.
